Annual Heritage Career Expo 2021

AFRO PRIDE SA PARTICIPATES IN THE HERITAGE CAREERS EXPO 

The Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Buti Manamela, launched the Heritage Careers Expo 2021 on 06 May 2021 at the Mapungubwe World Heritage Site in Limpopo. The Expo seeks to showcase the various career opportunities available that are aligned with our heritage under the theme “Unlocking the wealth in our heritage”. The month-long Expo included round-table discussions, masterclasses, as well as behind-the-scene interviews with industry experts and professionals who shared their knowledge and experiences with the learners. Afro Pride was invited to share its industry experiences on hair care services as the key sub-sectors within the SETA that support the heritage industry. Hair care is a big part of the South African heritage and has been part of our cultural identity since time immemorial. It is also element of identity and personal branding that are popular with performing artists to distinguish themselves from rivals.
